KDU Environment Day 2017
Yang Amat Mulia Tengku Puteri Zatashah, princess of the Selangor royal family, launched the event with the theme “Let’s Create a Greener and Sustainable Eco System for the Youth Today”. The event was also graced by Yang Berhormat Elizabeth Wong, member of Selangor State Legislative Assembly and Chairperson of Selangor State Tourism, Environment, Green Technology and Consumer Affairs Committee, who endorsed the KDU Sustainability 2017 initiative.
KDU Fitspiration 2016; KDU Awards RM500, 000 scholarship fund to Malaysia Paralympic Council.
KDU became the first education institution in Malaysia to award the MPC with the KDU Fitspiration Scholarship amount to RM500, 000. The scholarship is not only open to Malaysian para-athletes but also to South East Asia. The scholarship presentation was held at the KDU Fitspiration Day (13th October 2016, where Paralympic gold medallist Mohamad Ridzuan Mohamad Puzi made a special appearance.

A moment with Dr. Cheryl Nicholas from Penn State Berk University, US.
Dr Cheryl is a former KDU ADP alumnus, and this was her second visit to KDU College. Meeting up with KDU ADP students during her visit, she also spoke on “Living and Studying in the USA”.
Dr Cheryl L. Nicholas is also an ethnographer who enjoys doing research in her homeland, Malaysia. Her research is based on how symbolic activity constitutes and is constituted by cultural worldviews and her work is grounded in language and social interaction, and critical perspectives. Her research has been published as chapters in edited books and as journal articles in journals such as Sexuality and Culture, Communication Quarterly, Storytelling, Self & Society, and Journal of International and Intercultural Communication.
Dr Cheryl teaches classes in intercultural communication, message evaluation, communication theory, nonverbal communication, and storytelling.
Go Green Photography Competition
In conjunction with KDU Sustainability Day, Student and Alumni Centre organised a "Go Green Photography Competition" to encourage students to embrace the Go-Green concept into their daily lives. The Go Green Photography Competition was opened to all KDU Students which took place from January 2016 till May 2016. The objective of this competition is to educate students about sustainability efforts and awareness in the most simple and creative form; by taking pictures that can convey the message.
