A holistic education should include developing virtuous values in students so that it will help mould them into wholesome human beings who are able to contribute and integrate well into society. In addition to academics, a strong co-curricular programme helps students develop healthy characteristics such as interpersonal skills, organisational ability and leadership quality. At KDU, our students are strongly encouraged to participate in various activities which foster relationships and build leadership characteristics that can be utilised in future career opportunities. Clubs and societies also function as a structured platform for students to create rapport with friends and as an advocate for students to administer back to the community.

As such, it was no wonder that the atrium and concourse at both KDU University College, Utropolis, Glenmarie and KDU College, Damansara Jaya were swamped with students owing to the clubs and societies enlisting drive command held recently. The recruitment drive saw several student members from numerous clubs and societies making an attempt to draw in largely the new batch of students from the January 2016 intake.

These student members went the additional mile by decorating their booths aswell as performing numerous acts to showcase their clubs and societies. The Performing Arts Club (PARTS) showcased their sleek, breath-taking moves on stage as they conquered everybody’s attention. There were also several other different performances and activities, such as singing and a Rubiks Cube competition, that got students joining in the fun. All in all, it was a great way for new students to be introduced to and join in various student clubs and societies, and also for them to assimilate into the KDU student lifestyle.
