KDU University College, an institution that has over 32 years of history and experience.

Established in 1983, KDU was Malaysia’s first purpose-built private college that provided opportunities for Malaysian youths to pursue good-quality and high-value education.
With the aim to shed light of hope for those who did not manage to secure any spot in public university, KDU University College and MyEduNxt had recently establish a collaboration to provide learning opportunities for youths to gain access to tertiary education; with financial aids to sustain the education expenses.

With the support from the Ministry of Education and EduAdvisor - an education course comparison portal in Malaysia, MyEduNxt had recently launched by MySchool of Life, a business arm of MyPerintis, a non-government organisation (NGO) that promotes youth empowerment.

Concretely, it is to support students with qualifications of SPM, STPM and UEC, but did not manage to enter into any local public universities through UPU (Unit Pengambilan Universiti), or the University Recruitment Unit.

“The programme also targeting those who may have financial difficulties in pursuing their tertiary studies. As a private education institution with over 32 years of history and experiences, KDU is obviously ready to fulfil its responsibility with good deeds, in providing opportunities for Malaysian youths in general to pursue good quality and high-value education,” said Prof Dr Hiew Pang Leang, Vice Chancellor of KDU University College.

According to Datuk Lawrence Low, the President and Founder of MySchool of Life and MyPerintis, despite various challenges in life, teenagers should not limit themselves in terms of seeking opportunities in furthering their studies.

"They need to take the opportunity for self-development, MyEduNxt is helping them to gain confidence and providing them with greater opportunities right after they completed studies in secondary schools," said Low.

Acting as Youth Influencer of MyPerintis, Daiyan Trisha, a local artist explained, though education is utmost important for a youth’s development, there are many school leavers who do not know or not sure of their direction.

"What should I do? What courses should I choose? Which institution should I enter? All these questions are discussed in the MyEduNxt programme. But most importantly, the school levers themselves need to take initiative by attending the MyEduNxt roadshows to understand more on the objectives and opportunities provided," advised Daiyan.

The full schedule of MyEduNxt roadshows can be found at www.myedunxt.com, and one of the upcoming roadshows in KDU is scheduled on 25 August 2017, at its main campus in Utropolis Glenmarie, Shah Alam.
