KDU Wins The Brandlaureate Best Brands Awards For Most Sustainable Brand Award 2016 – 2017

KDU was recently awarded The BrandLaureate Most Sustainable Brand Award 2016-2017 for Brand Excellence in the Education – Private University College category, a feat which is testimony to the institution’s dedication and commitment to its brand and academic excellence.

Held at Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur, on 22 May 2017, the award was presented to Datin Teh Geok Lian, Chief Executive Officer of Paramount Education, by the Chairman of the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation of the BrandLaureate, Y. Bhg Tan Sri Rainer Althoff, and witnessed by the Patron of the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation of the BrandLaureate, H. E. Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and the President of the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation of the BrandLaureate, Dr. KK Johan. Also celebrating the joyous moment were Prof. Dr. Hiew Pang Leang, KDU’s Vice Chancellor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hon Wei Min, Deputy Vice Chancellor – Academic, Shanker A/L Sathivellu, Deputy Vice Chancellor – Administration, as well as Sheikh Fahmy Bin Sheikh Mohamed, Chief Marketing Officer.

Commenting on the win, Prof. Hiew Pang Leang said, “KDU winning the BrandLaureate Most Sustainable Brand Award 2016 – 2017 is a testament to our focus in various aspects not just in terms of the knowledge mastery, but also in terms of the holistic education for nurturing and growing our children to be future leaders and future entrepreneurs who will spearhead success in the world that we live in.”

The BrandLaureate is awarded by the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation (APBF), from a selection of nominees with criteria such as Brand Strategy, Brand Culture, Integrated Brand Communication, Brand Performance, and Brand Equity.
