FIRST LEGO League is the most accessible, guided, global robotics competition, helping students and teachers to build a better future together. The program is built around theme-based Challenges to engage children ages 9 to 16 in research, problem solving, coding, and engineering. The foundation of the program is the FIRST Core Values, which emphasize teamwork, discovery, and innovation. Students emerge more confident, excited, and equipped with the skills they need in a changing workforce. KDU School of Engineering (SOE) being a strategic partner and venue sponsor for the 3rd year of FLL Malaysia 2019.

FIRST LEGO League challenges kids to think like scientists and engineers. During the INTO ORBIT season, teams will choose and solve a real-world problem in the Project. They will also build, test, and program an autonomous robot using LEGO® MINDSTORMS® technology to solve a set of missions in the Robot Game. Throughout their experience, teams will operate under the FIRST signature set of Core Values, celebrating discovery, teamwork, and gracious professionalism.

For many teams, the innovative solutions created through their FIRST LEGO League Project have led to some amazing opportunities, like receiving local and national media attention, meeting government leaders, and seeing their invention be brought to market. Events at every level offer students an amazing experience as they celebrate their hard work, have fun, make new friends, and are exposed to ideas and ideology that will enhance their lives for decades to come. FIRST LEGO League is known around the globe not only for the Robot Game and Project, but also with Core Values at the heart.
