Our Hope Car Boot Sales (CBS) was successfully organized by School of Computing and Creative Media (SCCM), to attract KDU’s students and its surrounding. This program with a theme of “Our Hope #togethergether” was taking place at Utropolis Marketplace.

It was a pleasant and rewarding way to spend Thursday morning rummaging through potted herbs, pre-loved bargains of sorts, food and beverages, home decor, beautiful jewellery, and children’s toys and crafts.

The charity car boot drew hundreds of visitors who came to hunt for good bargains.

According to one of the SCCM’s student, she said this form of activity is becoming popular in other cities and towns, where is moving in that direction with the aim of boosting entrepreneurship, innovation and recycling.

The car boot sale “is a way of attracting a large group of people in one place to recycle useful but unwanted domestic items that otherwise might have been thrown away,” she said.

Profits from this sale will go the kids at Refuge for the Refugees and also pledged to Tabung Harapan.
