In an effort to improve and strengthen graduate education at both the departmental and University levels, as well as strengthen KDU’s relationship with its alumni, its Student & Alumni Centre carried out an online survey to over 400 of its alumni. The exercise was not only reach out to KDU alumni, but also to find out the types of events and activities for them to reconnect with old friends and lecturers, and talks that would be essential and interesting for them.
From the survey, the SAC then organised a get-together Movie Screening of Fast & Furious 8 at Paradigm Mall in April, which saw an attendance of close to 200 alumni, friends and family. Amidst food and drinks served before the movie, the alumni were able to catch up and reconnect with old mates and lecturers, which made the gathering merrier to attend.
Some of the other upcoming initiatives of the Student and Alumni Centre will be to develop an alumni publication, sharing stories, updates and testimonials of alumni, and as an information platform where alumni can find out more about the enrolment opportunities for their children.

The SAC also aims to provide prominent and young entrepreneurs an opportunity to contribute to their alma mater, by giving talks, workshops and even career opportunities in their organisation to the younger generation.
