The first step into the world of accounting.

Students start their journey into the professional world of accounting by getting familiar with various disciplines such as taxation and commercial law. In this programme, students learn the ropes and gain the foundation necessary to continue onward with their choice of bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or even a professional accounting qualification.

Students are also able to fast-track into obtaining the ACCA qualification, as this programme qualifies for an exemption of four papers.

Upon successful completion of this programme, students will be able to articulate seamlessly into a KDU business degree programme, or to Griffith University (Australia), the University of Northampton (UK) and Glasgow Caledonian University (UK).

Upon completion of the programme, graduates will be granted exemptions from the following recognised professional body:
  • ACCA – exempted from 3 ACCA papers
  • CIMA – Students to take 13 CIMA examinations to complete the professional qualification starting at BA4

 ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONMINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENT
  • SPM / O Levels :
Pass with min. 3 Credits (inclusive of a Credit in Mathematics and a Pass in English)
  • UEC :
Min. 3 Credits (inclusive of a Credit in Mathematics and a Pass in English)
Any other qualifications deemed equivalent by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia (or as stated in the Document Senarai Nilai Taraf Kelayakan Akademik, Malaysian Qualifications Agency)Pass (Subject to review and approval of certified transcripts)
ENGLISH REQUIREMENT
Local Student :Pass (SPM / 1119 / UEC / O-Level English)
International Student :Band 4.0 in IELTS; or a min score of 30 (IBT) or 397 (PBT) in TOEFL
