The Foundation Studies (Science) is an entry qualification for degree programmes in the areas of engineering, computer science, general science and many others. While specific exposure is given to focus modules such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, students’ learning is also complemented with Critical Thinking Skills which enables them to be team-oriented, self-directed graduates with ethical responsibility towards society.

Entry Requirement
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONMINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENT
  • SPM / O Levels :
Pass with min. 5 Credits (inclusive of a pass in English and Mathematics)
  • UEC :
Min. 3 Bs (inclusive of passes in English and Mathematics)
Any other qualifications deemed equivalent by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia (or as stated in the Document Senarai Nilai Taraf Kelayakan Akademik, Malaysian Qualifications Agency)Pass (Subject to review and approval of certified transcripts)

 Notes:
  1. Students who will be continuing their studies in Accounting degree programmes, Engineering degree programme or in the Game Technology specialisation of the Game Development programme, must have obtained a Credit in Mathematics at SPM level.
  2. Students who will be continuing their studies in Computer Science and Software Engineering degree programmes must have obtained a Credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level.
ENGLISH REQUIREMENT
Local Student :Credit (SPM / 1119 / UEC / O Levels examination); or a min. score of Band 4 in MUET
International Student :Band 5.5 in IELTS; or a score of 213 (computer-based) or 79 (internet-based) or 550 (paper-based) in TOEFL
*If English language requirements are not fulfilled, additional English module(s) may be taken at KDU University College.
