The Diploma in Food Service Management aims to cater to the steady demand for food and beverage professionals with a keen interest in various elements of services and retailing businesses. This programme is tailored for those who are eager to attain solid understanding and knowledge on the theoretical aspects and management skills of F&B and hospitality services, and for the development of these industries in Malaysia.

In this programme, students are exposed to real-life education and skill-based learning which are related to the existing and emerging needs of the F&B discipline. Students of this programme will also focus on various soft transferable skills such as adaptability, time management, critical thinking, scientific research planning, analysis and synthesis, life-long learning, and ethical and social values. These skills enable students to pick up new capabilities and competencies quickly, ensuring their future as choice employees.

The Diploma in Food Service Management is designed with the industries’ needs in mind, through the advisory and insights of KDU’s School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts’ industry expert panel, ensuring the programme is relevant in meeting local and international needs.

Apart from establishing a strong ground in Food Service Management to produce professionals, the programme promotes entrepreneurial F&B project development which enables graduates to start their own enterprises upon graduation.
